FAQS

What is The Momentum Fellowship?

The Momentum Fellowship is a six-month leadership program rooted in Jewish wisdom and values, facilitated by Momentum Trip leaders, educators, and leadership experts. The Fellowship experience includes one in-person summit, six monthly virtual workshops, and opportunities to exchange ideas with peers.

In-Person Summit
A two-and-one-half day, in-person, onsite serves as the kickoff summit for the Momentum Fellowship. The experience infuses Jewish wisdom and Momentum’s core values with communal leadership skills. Facilitation will be shared between a Momentum educator and a leading industry expert. Networking, case studies, and best practice sharing will be curated throughout our time together.

Facilitated Virtual Workshops
Registration is a commitment to attend the Kickoff and participate in the full 6-month Fellowship.

Near the conclusion of the onsite, Fellows will self-select their preference among three leadership modules. Fellows continue with the program by attending the monthly facilitated workshops for 6 months.

Strengthening Peer-to-Peer Networks
Fellows can join monthly networking sessions to check in with each other, build deeper relationships, and share best practices.

Who is invited?

Community Leaders and Madrichot will be invited to take part in the Fellowship. They will invite Lay leaders, Momentum alumnae, colleagues and community volunteers.

Build your Cohort
Community Leaders – Build a cohort to join you on this leadership journey! You may select women from your Jewish community who are excited to nurture a strong Jewish community and power the work you are doing even further.

This approach serves as a built-in local cohort, supports you and your organization at large, and quickens your abilities to mobilize others to take communal action.

Cohorts are a minimum of two women and a maximum of 10.

How is this different than a standard leadership program offered online?

Leadership courses are widely available through countless organizations and educational institutions. And costs are wide-ranging. What’s unique to the Momentum program is that it is designed for YOU – Community Leaders and your selected cohort. From Community Leader focus group feedback and Community Leader survey responses, we’ve zeroed in on topics, learning formats, and speakers that resonated most. And you told us that enhancing leadership skills through a Jewish lens is deeply important to you; Momentum Jewish educators will provide insights rooted in Jewish wisdom and values.

Survey responses confirmed that building up your peer-to-peer network is important and valuable. We’ll ensure you have opportunities to do just that! You will meet new Community Leaders at the summit; during the 6-month workshops, you’ll build deeper relationships with the cohort taking your same leadership module; and we’ll be setting up optional monthly networking calls – check in with each other, share best practices, solve nagging problems, and strengthen the Community Leader sisterhood.

How is this different than the Retreats Momentum held before?

During and after Covid, Momentum offered Retreats to elevate our spirits, infuse us with spirituality and allow us to take some “me” time to power up our batteries. It was focused on the individual and what she could then take back to her home.

The Momentum Fellowship is designed to help support your needs in communal work. We listened to your feedback and created an opportunity for professional development around communal work. That is also why women are invited in a cohort and not as individuals.

Come, lean in, and let’s grow together!

What is the cost?

$199 for CLs
$199 for Madrichot
$399 for cohort members

This price includes full board for the summit: All meals, accommodation, speakers, workshops, and additional surprises. It also includes the 6-month-long program that follows online.

As all Momentum events, the food will be Kosher.

Where do I apply?

The registration is a one-step process. Community Leaders, Madrichot, and cohort members will need to register individually.

If I drive, is there adequate free parking?

Hilton Orlando has free guest parking. Details coming soon for other locations.
